Dr. Andrew Morse, Tammy Warden and Kelly Christian have been a part of this vital program since its inception back in 2007. We have performed numerous colonoscopies, and upper endoscopies once a month, every month (except during COVID), for 15 years. (16 years in May, 2023) Danielle Allen joined us approximately 10 years ago and Sidney Shaffer is the newest member to round out our team of 2 highly skilled RNs and 2 CNAs. Michelle Phelps manages the schedule and ensures the patients are prepared and well educated regarding the preparation for the procedure.

Most of our patients are return clients. We do our best to make patients comfortable and at ease when they are facing a procedure that could be life-saving, but isn’t something they look forward to. Over the years, we have identified several cancerous tumors and pre-cancerous polyps. Studies show that treatment is most successful with early identification.

Michelle is our point of contact. She calls the patients, provides them with their prep kit and pre-procedure instructions. RN Sidney and CNA Danielle are the pre-procedure team. They gather vital data about the patient such as blood pressure and pulse, medical history, and medications.

RN Kelly and CNA Tammy work side by side with Dr. Morse during the procedure. This team ensures the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the colonoscopy/upper endoscopy by providing appropriate sedation, assisting the surgeon with the procedure and providing medical support to the patient.

The endoscopy team here at Rangely District Hospital takes pride in the professionalism and compassion shown to all our patients. We are all a part this community, and our goal is to make an uncomfortable situation as comfortable as possible.
