On June 8, 2020, Rangely District Hospital notified impacted individuals concerning a ransomware attack that occurred on April 9, 2020. The ransomware affected parts of the hospital’s computer system, including software files needed to view certain electronic medical records entered in the hospital’s Meditech database between August 2012 and August 2017. The hospital worked with its software vendor Meditech to complete the restoration of files and connections needed to view all the affected electronic medical records. Accordingly, Rangely District Hospital wants to inform all individuals who received notice of the incident that accessibility to the above-noted records (or portions of these records) that were temporarily unavailable has been fully restored as of September 2020.
