Rangely District Hospital is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our collaborative healthcare team. This position provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services in a rural, patient-centered setting with a broad scope of practice. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Position Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Shift: Day Shift – 4/10s
  • Salary Range: $41.00 – $51.00 per hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: Available
  • Relocation Assistance: Available

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice & Patient Care

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services for inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Perform timely evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Evaluate and develop functional maintenance programs for extended-care patients.
  • Complete clinical documentation in accordance with hospital, state, and federal requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Patient Education & Care Coordination

  • Provide individualized patient and family education and assess effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Contribute to the refinement of physical therapy care plans.

Patient Safety & Confidentiality

  • Adhere to all patient safety, confidentiality, and privacy standards.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental equipment, facilities, and supplies in a safe and functional condition.
  • Encourage active patient and family participation in care.

Professional Development & Community Engagement

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in continuing education, in-services, and professional development activities.
  • Promote positive relationships with patients, staff, physicians, and the community.
  • Assist in developing programs benefiting Long-Term Care and Eagle Crest (assisted living) residents.
  • Participate in hospital committees and community events as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher)
  • Active Colorado Physical Therapist License
  • Previous experience as a staff physical therapist preferred (new graduates encouraged)

Certifications

  • Current CPR Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and clinical reasoning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Work performed in a clinical patient-care environment
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, mechanical equipment, and moderate noise levels
