Preop/PACU RN

Rangely District Hospital Surgical Services Department is seeking to fill a PRN (0-19 hours per week) Preop/PACU RN position.

Job Statement:

 

Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective patient-centered care in the pre- and post-operative department.

Requires a high level of clinical competence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Collaborates closely with the surgeon, surgical team, anesthesia provider, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, optimize patient outcomes, and maintain continuity throughout the perioperative experience.

Demonstrates professionalism through clear communication, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols while supporting patients and their families before and after surgical procedures.

 

Assesses patients, plans care, serves as a patient advocate, and ensures optimal outcomes.

 

Skills:

• Proficient in IV starts and time management
• Proficiency in patient assessments and EMR documentation
• Patient teaching
• Must be willing to work as a team member and contribute to the overall success of the department and organization.

License/Registration/Certifications:

• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
• Current BLS and ACLS
•  Must be willing to work as a team member and contribute to the overall success of the department and organization.

 

Experience:

Two (2) years of Pre-Op/PACU care experience or equivalent preferred

Additional Information:

Position Type: PRN

Hours: This position is 2 days per month, typically the second Wednesday and Thursday of each month.

Shift: Day

Hourly Wage Range: $31.00-43.00

Benefits: Sick pay up to 48 hours and Rec pass
